art for me is the
complex and compound science we use to investigate reality and a complex form
of communication with which we can communicate its meanings and ascribe it
significance
my conception of artistic creation is the placing of objects/ ideas/ behaviour/ sounds/ images/ text/ anything into a notional aesthetic space we negotiate the right and the power to do this with our communities with our fellow humans we rely on their investment their collaboration so we have duties as artists
my current work is based on ideas of mind human beings are alone and the naming of significance is our power in the face of a universe that is hostile in its indifference the phenomenon of consciousness is the tool with which we construct an inhabitable version of reality from the interacting fields and energies that are all that we are all that is really out there
I work in image sound text performance to reveal dream like forms and conceptions mutating approximately into the world of words to become our thoughts to become communicable
my work is often rooted in movement and place
